6 Insurance Enrollment Information
Some of our partners let you apply for insurance online. If you start an application, the enrollment form asks for the information the insurance company needs, which can include your Social Security number, answers to health questions, and bank account details for paying premiums. For this information:
- Purpose: It is collected only to submit the application you started, and only the fields the insurance company requires.
- Passed straight through: It is sent over an encrypted connection directly to the insurance company you are applying with. We do not store it in our systems, and any copy held only to complete the delivery is deleted once the insurance company confirms receipt.
- Never used for marketing: It is never used to market to you, never sold, and never shared with anyone other than that insurance company.
- Never by text or email: We will never ask you to send your Social Security number, health information, or bank details by text message or email.
- Limited access: Our staff cannot view the full values. If we ever learn that this information was exposed, we notify the insurance company promptly so that you can be informed as the law requires.
The insurance company's own privacy notice applies to the information once it receives your application.
